We love to fill our home with gorgeous scents. Scents are so personal and choosing the right scent for your candle or home fragrance can help achieve a certain state of mind and contribute to your wellbeing. We’ve summed up the main scent groups to help guide you in choosing your perfect scent:

Woody Scents 
These are the earthy notes like sandalwood, cedar wood, rosewood or patchouli. They bring to mind places that are warm and cosy. They have a calming effect while boosting upbeat, positive emotions.

Fresh Scents
These are smells that are bright and invigorating. Think citrus, green herbal and fruity scents. These are an absolute crowd pleaser, and are great for the bathroom! Citrus scents are refreshing, brings energy, and have an uplifting, cleansing effect.

Floral Scents
These are scents that are made from flower fragrance bases. Scents like rose, geranium, lavender or ylang ylang. Floral scents can often trigger memories of particular times, events, places, or feelings (Haas and McCartney, 1996). Smelling floral scents puts us in a good mood and make us feel less anxious.
